PORT ELLIOT ESTATE
LAKES at St GERMANS
As the name suggests these are old estate lakes,
the top one is very overgrown and silted up but still fishable from a few
places and it houses all the usual fish including some big carp.
The lower lake is about one and three quarters to two acres in size
and is an average depth of about 5 feet and in places the same depth of silt
on the bottom. The lakes hold a
good head of Carp, Bream and Tench as well
as the usual silver fish and also a good head of golden rudd and crucian
carp.
