Plymouth And District Coarse Angling Club
Plymouth and District Coarse Angling Club (PADCAC) is a non-profit fishing club open to all with an active EA fishing license and has a current and active membership or day/24hr ticket. We have five lakes available to fish year around for our Members, we have three lakes at our Cadover venue with Lower Lake, Main Lake, and Carpark Lake. Please note there is no fishing in the smaller lake directly opposite the Main Lake. We also have one lake on the grounds of the Port Elliott Estate in St Germans (Cornwall) and one lake at Filham Park (Ivybridge). The lakes have a wide range of different species available including Carp, Crucian Carp, Roach, Trench, Chub, Bream, Perch, Rudd, and even some eels!
All club waters are strictly catch and release only, anglers are expected to have a min 30 inch net and suitably sized unhooking mat or cradle, all end tackle must be safe with leads easily ejectable and not fixed, and only barbless hooks to be used. If a club bailiff or club member, on production of their membership card, asks to see your end tackle & Membership card please do not be offended, as we take fish welfare and management of our lakes very seriously.
The club has matches throughout the year held on various lakes and in some cases on a different clubs water. A full list of dates can be found on our News page.
There are parking facilities and secure toilets available at all our venues
We run work parties throughout the year to maintain the lakes, pegs, paths and the surrounding environment. Work parties are a great way of meeting your fellow members and committee team and also getting to know the lakes that much better. The man focus is always on the jobs that need to be done but it is a great environment full of banter and camaraderie.
The Club holds monthly committee meetings at the Parkway Social Club, Ernesettle Lane, Plymouth, PL5 2EA at 7pm. All current members are always welcome and a great place for you to take part in helping shape the future of the club.
The club runs free coaching sessions at Filham Lake in the summer months, details of which can be found on the news page. Coaching is provided by fully qualified and DBS checked fishing coaches trained by the Angling Trust. For more information please contact either Head Coach Steve Aldridge or Club Secretary Chris Wenlock.
If you are fortunate enough to catch a lake breaking specimen fish on one of the PADCAC lakes please do let us know by contacting the Specimen Officer whose details are available on the About page.
