We currently have two social media channels but are always looking on expanding on this and will hopefully have more coming soon. The vast majority of our daily communications are done via Facebook, we have two groups one being for the public here at Plymouth and District Coarse Angling Club, and we have a second group which is for members only available here at P.A.D.C.A.C.
Our members only page is full of important information and daily communications from us, such as lake closures, important announcements, monthly newsletters, catch reports, hints and tips and a whole host of other things. We would strongly recommend on joining our Facebook groups as is usually the quickest way to reach one of us.
We now also have our own Instagram account which you can find here PADCAC.
Free Summer Coaching will be back again in 2027!
After another successful summer coaching we will be back next year. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who came along and made this year our best yet! Thank you also to those who have continued their fishing journey with the club and we look forward to seeing your success on the banks.
You can book on for these sessions by visiting www.anglingtrust.net/fishing-events/. You book each day individually so you can fit it around your other summer holiday plans. Children must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.
Summer Coaching will run every Saturday, from the start of July to the end of August between 14:00-17:00, for more information or to find out availability and book please contact Steve Aldridge on 07359 193161 Or send us an email through the website.
Please come back here regularly as we will update the site with the new dates when they have been organised.
Cadover Venue Biosecurity
To further enhance the biosecurity of our lakes up at Cadover we have now installed dip tanks, there is one located next to the toilet block in the main car park, the second one is located by the car park for Lower Lake. It is essential that all equipment that comes into contact with the water and the fish (Weighing slings, unhooking mats, keepnets, landing nets) is dipped before and after every session. Anything that can not be dipped into the solution must be brushed liberally with the solution using the attached brushes. The use of the dip tanks is mandatory and will be enforced by club Bailiffs.
For best practises please follow these instructions: 1) Check your gear first and remove any heavy mud, weed or debris prior to dipping. 2) Fully submerge all gear that can fit into the tanks and not just a quick splash. 3) Allow proper contact time, gear should be fully immersed for at least a three to fifteen minutes, again anything that does not fit into the tank, such as cradles, should have solution liberally applied using the attached brushes. 4) Let excess solution drip off safely near the tank before using it and make sure to close the lid securing it back into place using the bungee cords.
Repeat the above steps after you have finished your session.
With regards to keepnets, now that the water temperatures have cooled down the use of keepnets is again allowed on all lakes with the exception of Cadover Main Lake, NO keepnets are allowed to be used on main lake until further notice and anyone caught using a keepnet on Main Lake will face disciplinary procedures.
Thank you in anticipation of you following all the above points.
